The hotel "alpen lodge" is located in the "Zer Bännu" area, a sunny hillside situation with a magnificent view onto the Matterhorn. In winter it is possible to ski right up to the front of the house. in the summer, the hikingtrails are starting in front of the house.
The railway "Sunneggabahn" has its station as well as a bus stop going to the Matterhorn railways about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The station and the "Gornergratbahnen" station can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot.
